FACE FOUNDER’S BOARD
Our Founder's Board is a non-voting honorary board position reserved for founders to whom we owe our thanks for having the vision and the courage to bring Families Advocating for Campus Equality into existence, but who are no longer directly active in the work of FACE. These are people who established the mission of FACE to provide advocacy, outreach, and education to students and families adversely impacted by wrongful allegations of sexual misconduct. The founders set the path for FACE to advocate for change in the biased and unsound campus sexual misconduct disciplinary procedures demanded by the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights. We are grateful for their hard work, guidance and dedication to Families Advocating for Campus Equality.
MEMBERS
Judith Grossman
Ms. Grossman’s background as an experienced attorney made her especially prepared to assist in defending her son from false charges of sexual misconduct that were levied by a former girlfriend more than two years after the breakup of their relationship. Although the small liberal arts college he attended ultimately failed to sustain the charges against her son, Judith was astonished to encounter the lack of due process and fundamental fairness attendant to the campus proceedings to which he was subjected. Her Op Ed article appearing in the Wall Street Journal generated considerable response and backlash, and ultimately, led to her joining forces with her colleagues in the creation of FACE. Judith also serves on FACE’s Board of Directors.
Jean Barish
Ms. Barish is the mother of a college son who was unjustly accused of sexual misconduct by his college.
